Accessibility & Inclusion – Everyone Is Welcome
At Top of the Woods, we believe that nature is for everyone. Our space is open to all who come with respect, kindness, and a spirit of inclusivity. Whether you’re here to unwind under the stars, gather around a crackling campfire, or explore the wild beauty of Pembrokeshire, we want every guest to feel at home, valued, and celebrated.
We understand that every guest has different needs, comfort levels, and ways of experiencing the world, and we want to create an environment that allows people to enjoy nature in their own way. While we are a wild, nature-led campsite, we are always happy to offer guidance and support to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity
We welcome people from all backgrounds, abilities, genders, and identities. We’re proud to be a neuro-spicy team ourselves, and we understand that different brains and bodies work in different ways. Whether you need a quieter space, clear communication, or a bit of extra support, we’ll do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
At the heart of our ethos is a simple principle: everyone is welcome, so long as they are kind, respectful, and inclusive of others. We believe that the best experiences in nature come from a sense of community, understanding, and mutual care, and we encourage all our guests to embrace this mindset.
Whether you’re traveling solo, coming as a family, or gathering with friends for a group adventure, we celebrate diversity and want you to feel at ease here. If there’s anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable, we’d love to hear from you.
Nature-Led Accessibility
Top of the Woods is designed to be a wild and immersive nature experience, meaning that while we work hard to make our spaces as welcoming as possible, we do not have paved or manicured paths, and our terrain is naturally uneven. Instead, you’ll find grassy meadows, woodland trails, and gently sloping landscapes, shaped by the beauty of nature rather than human design.
We understand that not all environments are suitable for everyone, so we’re here to help you find the best way to enjoy your stay with us. Here’s how we support accessibility within our natural setting:
✅ Accommodation Placement – Some of our accommodation options are closer to toilet and shower facilities, making them more suitable for guests who prefer easier access. If this is something you need, just let us know when booking.
✅ Luggage Assistance – Our site is vehicle-free, which makes for a peaceful and nature-immersed stay. However, we understand that carrying gear can be challenging, so we’re happy to help transport your luggage to your pitch when you arrive.
✅ Flexible Support – We recognise that accessibility looks different for everyone. If you have specific needs, mobility concerns, or sensory sensitivities, please reach out before your visit, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
We want every guest to feel comfortable and confident exploring our site, but we also encourage honest conversations about personal comfort levels. If you have any concerns about the terrain, access points, or facilities, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Tailoring Your Experience
We know that everyone enjoys nature in different ways, and that’s something we celebrate!
Whether you’re someone who loves hiking steep trails, sitting quietly by a fire, or dipping into the world of wild swimming, we believe there’s a way for you to connect with the landscape around you.
If you have specific preferences that would make your stay more enjoyable, let us know.
We are happy to help with:
🌿 Choosing the right accommodation option based on proximity to facilities and ease of access
🌿 Offering quiet spaces away from busier areas for guests who may experience sensory overload
🌿 Answering any questions you have in advance, so you feel fully prepared before you arrive
🌿 Advise on activities that are suitable for you & your confidence levels.
We know that feeling comfortable, safe, and welcomed is what makes a stay truly enjoyable, so if there’s anything that would enhance your experience, we’re here to support you.
Safety & Adventure, Your Way
Exploring nature comes with different levels of adventure, and we understand that everyone has a different relationship with risk. Some guests are here to push their boundaries with outdoor challenges, while others are looking for a relaxing retreat where they can slow down and breathe deeply.
At Top of the Woods, you are in control of your own experience. If you ever feel unsure about an activity, landscape, or environmental challenge, we encourage you to assess your own comfort level and make the decision that feels right for you.
If you’d like guidance on choosing activities, preparing for the terrain, or knowing what to expect, our team is always happy to help. We want to ensure that your adventure is one that feels safe, enjoyable, and perfectly suited to your comfort level.
A Team That Cares (and Gets It!)
As a neurodiverse team, we know that the world isn’t always built to be inclusive. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to listen, learn, and adapt so that every guest feels valued and respected.
We’re experienced in working with people who have diverse needs, and we take a flexible and understanding approach to making sure everyone feels comfortable. If you have any requests—whether it’s extra time to process information, avoiding bright lights or noisy areas, or simply needing a bit of extra space—just let us know.
Nature belongs to all of us, and we want to make sure you feel that Top of the Woods is a place where you belong, too.
Your Voice Matters
We’re always learning and growing, and we’d love to hear from you. If you have any suggestions, feedback, or ideas on how we can make Top of the Woods even more inclusive, just let us know!
You can reach us at info@topofthewoods.co.uk or chat with a member of the team on-site or call us on 01239842208.
Keeping It Private
If you share any information with us about your needs, you can trust that we’ll keep it confidential and only use it to ensure you have the best experience possible.
Looking Ahead
Inclusivity isn’t a one-time thing—it’s something we’re always working on and we are also always learning ourselves. We’ll continue to review and improve what we offer, and if we make any big changes, we’ll make sure you’re the first to know.
At Top of the Woods, everyone is welcome—so long as they are kind, respectful, and inclusive. We can’t wait to welcome you. 🌿✨
